Why is work making me feel really run down....??
I am off work today with swollen throat and headache. I feel low on energy. I work in a primary school as a teacher. Things have been stressing me out of late, I am not usually like this. But recently I have been worrying myself over everything at work, I have never ever thought about work outside of school this much before. I worry that next year I might be getting Year 6 which is the top year group, which I have never done before, and I am panicking that I can not do it, well, I know I cant. I have only been trained for Years 3 and 4. There are rumours going around that everyone will be moving about because a teacher is returning off maternity who usually does, and is very good at year 6, but she wants to take it easy in year 5!! I also have a student starting teaching practice in my class this week and have to guide him aswell. Communication between management is crap to say the least and I feel I never do anything right! So rang in sick today to get some rest. What you think?
1. Take 2 days off
2. Have a meeting with management to say that you are only working for Years 3 & 4, because that what you're trained in
3. Bring up anything else that concerns you.
4. Have regular meetings (at least weekly) so that it all gets sorted
5. See if you start to like the job again
6. If that fails chuck it in and do something else. There's lots of other things to do in life, and very nice to have a change!
