Daddy's Favorite Cake

This scrumptious chocolate cake is by far the best cake I have ever had. I have heard it called other name's such as "Better than Sex Cake" while I would not go that far, it is heaven for the taste buds. This is my dad's absolute favorite cake and he is actually the one that got my mother and I the recipe. I think, that in polite company this name is a lot more suitable!

Now for an actual description of the cake. It is a moist, moist chocolate filled with butterscotch ice cream topping and topped with whipped cream and heath bits. That in itself should make you hungry! This is also a cake that is better the day after you make it because as it sit's the ingredients combine.

Here are a list of the ingredients you will need:

1 chocolate cake mix (can be any brand or variety of chocolate)

3 large eggs

1 1/3 cups of warm water

½ cup of vegetable oil

1 twelve and a quarter ounce jar of butterscotch ice cream topping ( you can also use caramel if need be)

1 can of sweetened condensed milk

1 eight ounce container of whipped topping

6 Heath candy bars

First, in a medium size mixing bowl, combine your chocolate cake mix, eggs, warm water and your vegetable oil. Beat the mixture at low speed with a hand mixer for two minutes or for 450 strokes by hand. Then, pour your batter into a well greased nine by thirteen inch pan. Bake the cake for thirty five to forty minutes at 350 degrees. When the cake is done, remove from oven and cool.

While your cake is baking, smash your Heath candy bars into small pieces. They should be as fine as you can get them. I like to put them in a Ziploc bag and use a rolling pin to smash them.

When your cake is cooled down, poke holes all over the cake with a wooden spoon handle. Make as many holes as you can - they should be no more than an inch to a half an inch apart. Then, combine your butterscotch ice cream topping and your sweetened condensed milk in a small mixing bowl. Mix until well combined. When well mixed pour it over your cake and into the holes you made.

Finally, spread your whipped topping evenly over the cake. Then sprinkle the heath bars on top. Always keep this cake in your refrigerator when not serving. Enjoy!!
